I think the Celexa works on Serotonin and Wellbutrin works on Dopamine receptors.

My Doc is usually great--no complaints. She knows the basics of my sitch--that I found out H was cheating with someone he works with and we are separated but going to counseling.

She gave me quite a lecture before prescibing anything. She said I was obviously a very strong woman who loved her mate very much, but she would have given him the big boot by now. She said she hesitated to help me "mask" the emotions I needed to do what I would likely have to do....get on with my life...move on...leave H behind.

It was hard to hear that from her--especially as she knows H on a professional basis. I kept having to remember that she didn't have all of the information I did about my sitch, and that I knew it was possible to put our M back together in a stronger way than it was before.

Hard to hear, though and tough on the PMA, but oh well--lots of people don't/won't understand why I am trying to work on this R. I know lots of people would have walked after finding out about an A. I think what is not so common knowledge is that lots of people don't walk. Those are the stories you rarely hear talked about openly.

That's interesting, Tal. I told my doctor (our doctor ) the entire situation too. (each bomb as they occurred, actually ).

He never ONCE tried to sway me in either direction. He listened, offered me the Rx's (which had been a long time coming, even before bomb#1)...said that the situation was "sh!tty!", comforted me, and supported both CJ and I on this journey. Personally, I think my MD's was the more professional response...let the patient decide!

Perhaps the fact that he is still married to W#1 after 20 years had something to do with it...who knows what he's been through?

If you're having any weird side effects from the meds, let me know...I had some, but they faded within days or weeks.

Yeah, and my Doc has probably been divorced a few times so I hear where you're coming from.

I do feel that your Dr. had the most professional approach.

Hi Talitsa,

Hope there is some good stuff going on with you now!

I am going to read your thread even more now for inspiration. My H has announced he feels the need to move out and get his head together. He may come back and he may not!

So figure I will be on BB lots more now that I will be home alone at nights!

I think Shiny's Dr. handled the sitch much better!!!

Obviously, you can't control what another person does, but you sure can DB and repair your marraige even after your H moves out "to get his head together".
