Banned? That strikes me as harsh even after a warning. I just can't get my head around the reasoning for this. It's a personal choice to put your personal information out there.
They push to have people put everything on the board. There are some things I just won't put out here for everyone to see but would feel comfortable confiding in someone who's been there. And it's not like they have private threads.
It appears to me that someone overseeing things has decided that the boards should be remade in a very strict image. And that image means only DB approved messages get put out and the only contact DBers are to have is through the boards.
Otherwise, we might actually find out we like each other outside the boards too.
Or that we don't.
Not sure who actually made this call. The answer may be the obvious person, or someone else. I do know it's turning this into a pretty unfriendly place to people who've leaned on each other here for a looooooong time now.
Instead of communicating things openly, as we all supposedly learn to do through DBing, said powers have chosen to impose their will.
Come here when you're desperate and alone and vulnerable to do or buy whatever we tell you, but once you're not a viable consumer, clear out for the next one.
Like the restaurants do to college kids who study there.
If'n you ain't a-buyin', we don't wantchyer kind here.
So very true. The thing is this is a newcomer and she was just trying to communicate more with someone.
Sometimes it is just plain hard to get everything across on these here boards. Besides, a lot of us have felt a closeness to the friends we have made on the boards and that has carried over into our real and personal lives. And no, I am not talking in the romantic sense either.
I realize that whomever runs the boards is within their rights to change the rules or whatever it is they please but to cut someone off after one time and one warning. That's just mean! What happened to three strikes and your out?
