Realistically I don't think your W is really thinking about much except for herself right now.. maybe a small (and I mean microscopic) piece of her brain is thinking that having your Mom there will possibly help the kids with this transition.. but I'm not certain that she asked your Mom to help as a torture technique for you.
I will wholeheartedly agree that she should have consulted you about this though. She should not be making decisions for you with regards to you and the kids.. it should be with you!
