So it finally hit my feeble brain that you all must work in the same school? What is the deal with teachers? There are so many people here whose spouses are teachers AND WAW's. It's as if the school system is so accepting of this behavior. Maybe it's justbecome so commonplace. I remember 15 years ago when a neighbor I had was having an affair with another teacher. They were separated and transfered out asap. In fact it was so uncomfortable my neighbor ended up moving away. My biggest regret is that not having been through this yet I remember feeling a little sad for her.
fig that's not good about the principal, makes your life unpleasant. 'Course in my case, the Dean is, you guessed it, X! Could be worse, but I can't quite figure out how...
Bethie, yes, we all work for the same College in the same uni. X is the big boss, OW is a staff member who works directly for X, I'm a plain old garden variety professor. Thank the lord they are off campus a great deal, and I can do at least 50% of my work from home...
lissie, snarky is exactly the word to describe my behavior after four or five hours of grading.
This summer, my GRADUATE class has 68 students registered. I will probably be snarky for 8 solid weeks. But it does pay the bills, which is just the tiniest benefit!
sparkles, hey I'm glad you posted. I've seen you post several times over in MLC on others' threads so I know you've been around.
So what exactly are we talking about in terms of fireworks????

I sooooooo relate to this...I mostly make the comments in anticipation of the one or two students who will want me to "justify" their grade...a memory jog for my aging memory. (The rest of them usually think they got off lucky! my exams are well known to be very comprehensive...not hard so much as very, very thorough)
I have one small set of exams left and two small sets of group projects. I could finish this weekend but I probably won't since the weather is terrific, and there is an arts festival downtown over the bridge on the "mainland."
Thanks all for visiting. I'm enjoying Saturday morning tremendously, I actually have an extra couple of hours to read my Vanity Fair. I love the long articles but they take time! S15 is, of course, sound asleep still.
