It is quite possible I will be doing that shopping after I arrive in Houston! LOL!
Hi Everyone:
I awoke to the sweet sounds of my lawn being mowed. This is one luxury I enjoy every single time the landscaping crews mows my lawn. It use to take me 2-3 hours to mow it myself at one time. And I didn't have any energy left to edge or blow the grass bits from the sidewalk. And their mowers are so much more powerful and better mulching machines.
I hope to extend this to hiring a housekeeper this year. Not sure why I have such a barrier to doing this... Feels like I should be able to do this myself. I use to feel the same way about the mowing at one time - I adapted. But - it is time - it will be nice having a magically clean house. I just need to talk to people about a referral to a cleaning service.
My goal is to have the houes decorated so it has that finished look by this summer. I did that with my backyard last year and love it. My backyard looks like a park and when I am stressed - just sitting there makes me feel relaxed. And then I will set my sights on things I want to do in the front yard.
This Houston seminar/vacation is a good thing. And I will go to the other seminar on Mackinaw Island in July. All my friends are through work - so this will also be an opportunity to expand my social circle
I can sense how much I need a vacation. Even at my most relaxed - I am still wound up. It will take a good 2 week vacation to undo that damage. I am not longer harboring the illusion that I have time to plan my own vacations. I am looking into traveling with groups where it is all set up for you. All you do is show up.
My life needs some serious adjustment with an injection of a lot more fun and relaxation.
Now that being said - this will be a working weekend. The good news is that there is a reward waiting for me - my trip to Houston.
