I am also really enjoying your gems from the book you are reading. The thoughts on the harbor which brought to mind the following verse:

It is so easy to get caught up in thinking and dwelling upon junk God would rather we push out of our minds.
Which directly reminds me of 2 Corinthinthians 10:5-6 "...bringing every thought into captivity..." So good, you just have to read it for yourself. We can control what we think about yet we are subject to the influences of everything around us. Thanks for sharing your pearls of wisdom, they inspired me to think about those two verses.
