"Grow your own Dope..... Plant a Man!!!"

Ok, no offense intended for any of the wonderful guys on this bb. No offense for any of the less than wonderful guys on this bb either. OOPS - there really aren't any. THERE!

I read that on a car a few min ago and it really made me laugh.

Everywhere I went today, someone laughed at me. I was wearing one of my fav brown t-shirts all bedecked in rhinestones. The saying "There's more to life than chocolate.... BUT NOT MUCH!"

I know I'm in a silly mood. It has been a very busy couple of weeks. I have barely caught my breath. But I did catch up at work and now its just mostly a sail through the next couple of weeks and I'm done. Done like dinner. Probably done forever. What a feeling!

So, our elevator building continues. Garage floor has been excavated. Walls have been broken through. Concrete has been poured. The first inspection has taken place. And framing has begun. Now it is clearer to see where it stands. WOW!

My next door neighbour asked me how I was putting up with the noise and mess. I told her with every noise I know I am closer to my dream of having an elevator for my disabled son. What could make me happier???

I did a lot of house cleaning today. It felt good. I need to do some more.

Also went shopping for my baby boy's birthday. Brandon will turn 26 this weekend. Josh just made a reservation for us at a nice restaurant in downtown Toronto. I got him the camera he wanted - he will be happy.

Saw my ex yesterday. I happened to look out as he was putting Ryan in his car. He didn't look good. He really hasn't looked good since this whole mess began 7 years ago. I'm glad he is not with me.

I have so many bunnies in my yard this year. I watch them run around and marvel at how quickly it turned from winter to summer. No spring in between at all. We went from parkas to tank tops. But who's complaining?

Josh's parents are home from England and visiting this w/e. Fortunately they're staying at his sister's house. It is likely we will visit though. I look forward to that. Funny how a year ago it seemed unlikely I would ever get to meet them and now its a given that I'm included.

And those are my ramblings today. I think I'll tidy up a bit more before the sun goes down. There is nothing like natural light for putting you in the mood.

Cheers! And welcome to my new Lemonade Stand.

OK, this is the bumper sticker that made me laugh:

"Conserve energy. Fart In a jar" (I know. A little crude but still it made me laugh!)

No Hill: I LOVE pizza! And today I went to Dairy Queen for a soft serve vanilla. First visit of the season. But chocolate and red wine?? Oh yes. Almost as good as sex!

Beth: Anyone who grew up in a family with boys would not be miffed by that one. Seems all they talked about was farting. And belching. No wait - I got that wrong. All they talked about was HOCKEY. All they did was fart and belch. Yep. And my brother's feet smelled. Oh boy. His socks were ROTTEN.

Oh dear, I really am in a silly mood.

Liked that one!

That reminded me of one time I got cut off by a driver who cut off several other people. He pulled into a gas station so I pulled in behind him and asked him where he was going cause I wanna go there too. With the risks he was taking and I was experiencing where he was going had to be better than sex.

No Hill:

Wonder if she was really worth it?

Saw "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" last night with my GF. Now SHE was beautiful. But what a beyotch. The thing there was that she could cheat on him and just blow him off. He mourned her so much. But just when he got on with his life and hooked up with someone new - BAM! That's when she wanted him back. Hmmm... I remember hearing something like that when I was on the MLC bb a few years back.

Anyway, it's bad enough to risk your own life, but you should never assume that everyone around you is willing to go down too.

THis guy stopped for a coffee so I guess he was in it for the thrill. I was plesant and made a joke since when one talks to a stranger one generally should be polite.

Oh Well I'm still kickin. Have fun on your SeeDoo.

Karen: Those parties kept me sane during an insane time. Something to focus on. I think it was that way for most of us.

Yes, Ryan is nearly 3 years older than Brandon. He will be 29 in July. YIKES - My dad and I were talking about that a couple of days ago. Amazing that I could be mom to a 30 year old next year!

This morning in the paper there was a photo of a one year old baby. It said "Happy Birthday Brandon from your big brother Ryan" I must cut that out and put it in the card Ryan is giving Brandon. Funny, I knew another couple who had a Ryan and a Brandon after me. I asked them if they were going to have an Ashley. I think they told me they had a Joshua. YIKES - glad that didn't happen to me. I had a birth announcement ready when I was due with my 3rd. "MY THREE SONS". I was going to call the baby Justin and Casey was the middle name. I figured I had to have a name ready despite the fact I wanted a girl so badly. So it was Justin Casey (Just In Case He's a boy). Silly Stuff!

Yep Silly Stuff. I think it is the fumes. They have been noticeable for 2 days in the house. Worse yesterday and this morning I've wakened with a scratchy throat and general YUCK. I went out and told they guys. Yep - it coincided with the moving of a duct. They're venting all the stuff into the house at present. THey promised to cover it up.

So, this girl is kinda high this morning. Gonna clean a bit before the cleaning woman comes. Yep - still needs more tidying. Then I'm going to go shopping. No point in working all the time and not reaping the rewards.

Off to the shower.
