Patrick;

I am with you..I go to bed alone after being with my H for 30 years...and it doesn't get easier...I still cry when I get in to bed...it's a lonely feeling...I want my M to work and I blame God sometimes...I even chatted with him last night...telling him to pour some of the love I have over to my H....maybe that will lead him home...who knows...I just wish I saw the signs as to what to do or else I do an I'm not wanting to see it.. I just want it all to come to an end, after 16 months or 8 years of it, I want it to be over.....

Take Care,
Treese

Make yourself soooooo f-ing tired that you leave a crater when you hit the bed.

Either work out.

Or self medicate.

I did both. I would work out, and then take a gulp of Nyquil.

Nighty-night.

I do not advise self medication, as a regular course of action, but on the bad nights, almost anything to get away from the screaming monkey of doubt is worth it.

Work out Patrick.

Sit ups and push ups require no equipment.
Washboard abs, stronger arms.

What chick wouldn't want that?
Use this crappy time to improve yourself. Hell you aren't going to feel worse, it would be impossible.

Once I realized that, I almost masochistically challanged myself on all sorts of levels of pain. Working out, pushing my limits, overcoming my phobias. I smile now, I was right, nothing compared to the pain in my heart and I improved myself, mentally and physically.

And I slept like a baby.

What are you doing with your time?

Did you check out my thread? I don't ask because I want to see the numbers go up, frankly I don't care about that. I seldom ask people to read it, I think it might help you.

Jack, have you heard about P90X by Tony Horton (and I know you are dying to say (Horton? Who?, lol)? I have seen nothing substantially negative about it other than you need to be in pretty good shape before you attempt it. Since you are a fitness buff I thought you may have an opinion on it.

At the start of this I weighed 276 lbs. The way I am built the only time I will go below 190 is when I am decomposing. : )

I have heard of P90X, I heard it is really good, my co-worker is using it, and wow! She ... it works. Thinking of trying it myself.

Congrats on the weight loss. I am extrememly impressed Jack. I started at #$% (sorry, the numbers go to high to be registered on the site) and now am trying to get the rest of the weight off.

I want to see my abs. I know they are there because I can feel them but something seems to be covering them ;\)

I think what you just shared about P90X is good enough for me. I don't know if I am physically ready to do it because I will have challenges with pull ups but I can always do 2-90 day sets back to back.

Thanks!

Update: My 13 year old son watched the infomercial with me and said he would like to try it as well.

MMF,

Start slow and build.

I broke 3 stair steppers/ellipticals so far. I started at 10 minutes, and would bump up 5 minutes every 2-4 weeks.

My addiction is video games, I play them only when I work out now, my balance is amazing. and I am up to a minimum of 70 minutes on the elliptical. But try for 90 mins.

Start slow, and like DBing set goals for yourself. Cut back on your calories, and the weight comes off. Or go Protien diet...but heh, thats a change in lifestyle.

I would second that. Up early jumping on the trampoline, sit ups, steps, running. Out with son during the day walking, running bike-riding, you name it. None stop. The anger / adrenalin that was rushing through my body gave me so much energy and I took full advantage of that.

You will be surprised at the difference it will make to your PMA when the endorphins are released!

Good advice. I used to live in the gym before I got married up until after my 1st was born. I had a life outside of the gym but really started focusing once I finished school and wanted to feel better physically. I am back to that mind set.
