Karen,

You know you'll probably end up keeping kitty. There is just something about those tiny little furballs that tug at your heart... just like babies.

Short story... earlier this year my son... big hulking man-boy that he is... showed his softer side by bringing home a kitty from school(of all places). Apparently, there were 3 kittens that had somehow lodged themselves somewhere under the hood of one of the school staff and actually survived the trip to the school, where they were discovered meowing like mad. Anyway, I come in from work to find a cardboard box in my den with the furry little critter inside. I was not at all happy that somehow I was being strapped with yet another cat, we have one already... and while they do grow on you, I'm not exactly a pet in the house fan. He'd probably get very angry if he knew I'd told anyone.... but his eyes watered up and his voice cracked a little when he said "MOM, he's just a baby, and he didn't have anybody to take care of him.... I couldn't leave him." AHHHH, CRAP!!!! That did it! How could I tell him no. So now what started out looking like a skinny little bat is now our beloved Bruce Wayne. \:\) Guess I'm a sucker for my big ole, soft hearted man-child!
