This weekend was a big one for me. On Saturday, B and I were supposed to have our first official date....it was a triple date and one of the couples was my x-SIL and her husband. Well, Saturday afternoon H's niece came over to check on the horses and mentioned that X wanted to come over to get one more piece of farm equipment that he had at the house. I texted him and asked him if he wanted to come and what time. Well, I already made plans with B that he would pick me up at 6:30. I didn't hear back from X right away so I texted him again and told him that he could come but not between 6 and 7:30. He text back and said that he would be there around 5 and that I didn't need to come outside. I planned on showering and getting ready about the time that he was going to be there, so I wouldn't go outside. I haven't seen X since Thanksgiving and the last thing that I wanted to do was see him an hour before I was supposed to go on this date....it would have ruined my evening. It was a good choice to not see X because all went off without a hitch and B and I had a wonderful date. Things seem to be going well between B and me.
B asked me if I wanted to get a drink at the bar right down the road from me before we headed to dinner. This bar was/is X's hangout, but one of B's friends was there at the time and he wanted to see him. I said sure, but we need to check the car situation out before we go in. B said no problem, but it would be kind of funny if he was in there wouldn't it....I said yes, but I'm not quite ready for that yet. I can see it already....B will introduce himself to X and say my name is B and I want to thank you....X will say thank me for what....B would say....thank you for walking out on Hope because I never would have had the pleasure to meet her otherwise :-)
