Shoe, so sorry to read about the results and that Ty has to stay in overnight and today. When my guy had to stay at the vet I was there constantly and it felt good to be there for him. My cat was super clingy so I know he loved me being there, too. Comforts from home are great and help when you can't be there.
As for his kidneys, my friend has an older cat with renal failure and she has to inject him with fluids every four days. He is great and not sickly at all. Knowing what is wrong makes it so much easier to find solutions. So even though it isn't good news for Tyson, you at least know now what you are dealing with and the vet can give you some options.
