Just wanted to wish you the best tommorrow. My closest friend had it done 2 years ago and it made a world of difference. Every situation is different, but a D & C abblation is a relatively minor procedure. You might not even have to have anesthetic. I went in for a much more involved surgery a few years ago and they were unable to use anesthetic at the last minute so I went with an epidural. It was kind of freaky for me since I was awake but the recovery from anesthetic effects was much quicker. I was supposed to be in hospital several days - went home by my own choice the very next day.
So, it's not likely you will need a transfusion or anything more involved. Let's hope that is so.
