My friend is going to pick the last 3 of my shelties up Friday morning so I won't have to try to take care of them over the weekend. I will miss them but I bet I sleep a lot!

My sister has had issues with fibroids for over 10 years now. Her doctor monitors the state of her fibroids and whether they are growing very carefully b/c if they grow too much you need surgery.
Take care of yourself and you will be fine. Rest, eat well and take your medication to prepare for Monday. Has your doctor talked to you about a blood transfusion? Would that boost your blood level to a safe level for the surgery?
Please get on your company health insurance during the next enrollment period. You will want to have your fibroid situation monitored so you don't end up with a baseball sized one again.

They may have to do a blood transfusion, not sure yet. I won't know the results of today's blood work till tomorrow.
I am going home from work and taking it easy each day. I would LOVE a nap right now.
I am hoping that with taking this fibroid out, doing the D&C and ablation, plus as close as I probably am to menopause that I don't have any more trouble with fibroids.
I'm sure I won't post Friday before I am due at the hospital as I have to be there at 7 am and the surgery is scheduled for 8 am. I will be sooooooo glad when I wake up and it is over. Then I won't have any dogs over the weekend so I can just rest and see if I am ok to come to work on Monday.

Just wanted to wish you the best tommorrow. My closest friend had it done 2 years ago and it made a world of difference. Every situation is different, but a D & C abblation is a relatively minor procedure. You might not even have to have anesthetic. I went in for a much more involved surgery a few years ago and they were unable to use anesthetic at the last minute so I went with an epidural. It was kind of freaky for me since I was awake but the recovery from anesthetic effects was much quicker. I was supposed to be in hospital several days - went home by my own choice the very next day.
So, it's not likely you will need a transfusion or anything more involved. Let's hope that is so.
Pam I had to have a hysterectomy in 2001 because of the bleeding clotting. Girl you will feel like a new woman when the surgery is behind you. You will find the energy that you lost. My prayers will be with you. God Bless
I know it is all pretty minor surgery but I am a worry wart and a wimp! Not like you, pammie and some of the other ladies.
They definitely unless she changes her mind plan to give me anesthetic as that is why she has been waiting for the blood levels to come up. So I can have the anesthetic.
The reason I might need the transfusion is I could still be so low going into the surgery not from anything to do with the surgery itself. I hope I don't need it and it all goes as she plans and she doesn't hit problems when she gets into the surgery!

Hey Pam Pammie is right , I bet you will be good as new when its over! Just think, how much energy you will have, dancin in the streets!
