peace, I think his reaction may come later. If God leads you so, keep being kind and appreciative to him. Even if you don't see a positive response, I believe it affects him inside. He may not show it now. I think he does notice it, and will remember your kindness, etc. in the days, weeks, months afterwards. Doesn't The Prodigal's Perspective mention this? I remember reading this somewhere but don't remember the source now.
