Glad you had fun with your girlfriends. It sure sounds like you packed a heck of a lot into one day. Funny how many women who have been divorced don't want anything to do with marriage. Seems more so then amoung men. Not that I have taken a poll or anything but I know a LOT of guys who have gone ahead and gotten remarried. In fact 2 guys that I went on dates with and who were on my timeline as far as separation and they are both remarried. Maybe they don't need the time and space that we do after a divorce. Interesting though.........

Hey Miss Fig!! yes girlfriends are! I love having seperate groups too, some who know every aspect of my life, some who dont know much about the past, we focus on the now and you all who know a bit of each lol, and tons of the hurt thats passed. Its good to have variety lol

Oh oh, if you are still looking for a good movie you MUST go see "under the same moon" with Kate del Castillo, best movie i've seen lately!! made me cry and laugh, beautiful movie it is in spanish w/subtitles, it's playing everywhere so that goes to tell you it is awesome, I will buy it when it comes out in DVD.
Parent's separation was ugly, she did keep her wed. dress, I don't think many wed. picts survived time, and she prob just tossed the remaining 2 or 3 (guess back then not everyone had a camera, it was very expensive in my country).

Hey everyone, I'm back from my Girlfriend weekend, had a really good time. Came this close, this close, to getting a tatoo, after 4 bottles of wine, and a few margarita's. BUT I didn't, my girlfriend did, lol. Maybe I needed MORE wine......
Have to agree that it seems men want to get remarried alot faster then us women. I mean, I loved being married, just don't know if I would do it again. Meanwhile, two guys I dated wanted to get married and I didn't want any part of it. Happy just the way things are right now. It is interesting though how women think about remarriage and how men do.
The weather her got cold today, can't wait for it to get back in the 80's......which should be tomorrow, lol.
Do you think ahem excuse the phrase---at our age---- we may be thinking gosh I could be his nurse a few years down the line? I think Friend and I are similar ages. I haven,t had any experience of dating apart from a coffee and a drink -2 different guys. The coffee guy well he was looking for a wife,whilst he didn't come out and say it I just knew! drink guy was quite nice but nothing clicked. That was a couple of years ago now and I haven't had any more dates-oh poor me. I am still open to the idea of a friend with benefits but marriage not too sure. It would have to be someone who blew my mind and these days that would take some doing. I got a henna tattoo few years ago on holiday does that count-my daughter nearly had me committed. We do seem to have had a role reversal tho! I haven,t any friends that are D- a few struggling, and a few living in ignorance but works for them. Well got to get ready for my dance class- we have some men but I am so puffed dancing I can't flirt as well. BTW Bill sounds sweet.

Hey cat! Its so different being w/ my D friends then my M ones, the girls from my work I go out with quite a bit are all in long term M! Funny thing tho, theres no diff really in our convos , what we like to do, its like the M or no M are seperate then our R together as women. Once in a while a M friend may have a H prob , but then again a single friend will have a BF prob. Guess you cant ever get away from MEN probs! No offense to our wonderful men on the this board of course, they are special!!

Well she said in in terms of the age my ex and most of our H were when they went thru their MLC or affairs or whatever ended the M, usually does hit at certain times but once you get over that " slippery slope" age, mid 50s maybe, maybe 60, she said she has noticed thru her life, its a "safe" time, most men then are too tired/lazy/old to go panting after OW lol
She said when they hit close to 60 they want you to take care of them! Told B this, he wasnt amused LOL actually we both would like each other there when we get older- he's pretty nurturing for a male, prob from basically raising his two girls.
