Not sure how it is in other parts of the country, but spring skipped us over and we had a taste of summer here! wayyy hot, for this fair skinned chick anyway!
Spent a great day Sat. w/ 2 girlfriends from HS- went down to the beach, figured it would be cooler but not much! Thought it would be a few hours, turned out an all day outing. Had lunch, sat on the sand for a few hours, it was beautiful! People having fun, playing frisbee, new lil toddlers and their first sand/ocan experience. so cute!
Then we went to the flower fields, which is awesome, shopping at an outlet mall, then back to my house, for wine and then to dinner, They left after 10:00 and I think we all agreed we had a really good time. My poor friend out visiting from Wyoming had spent her week vacation w/ her dad and family in the hospital, her dad had emergency surgery, but good she was here and he is on the mend.
It was funny, as we sat around the table eating, talking of old days, and how some aspects of our lives are parallel and some parts have gone different ways, I realzied all 3 of us are D. Me being in the longest M, but still- all D. The other two are very content never marrying again, although one lives w/ her BF no way she wants to remarry and the other said same, They are both independent women, and have full live- and enjoy having a partner, but do not see the need for M especially now w/ no more children coming along.
I said I totally understood, I always enjoyed being M- I think their experience wasnt quite as good, they both agreed.
So to each their own. They are good friends and I am so glad over ALL these years, 30 since Graduation and 3 before that, we have all kept in touch.
