Althea,

That bites. And I get it. And to rub salt in that wound, I suppose that means he's going to get one helluva tax stimulus rebate next month too.

I got that problem with my ex too. Court ordered her to be able to claim the kid on odd tax years.

Lucky me this year. That means she gets the extra $$$ for the tax rebate in May, while I still get to pay support and have my daughter full-time.

Hopefully the great career stuff blows away any benefit he sees.

Because living well really is the best revenge.

You guys!!! What kind of arrangements have you all made???

I owe for my taxes and he gets money back so he pays what I owe and then we split the difference.

You're a Canuck too, though, eh. They do things differently there.

And I didn't get to make arrangements. The judge made them.

Hey Althea!

I hear you. I have the same behaviour with my ex. They do nothing for anyone but themselves and their new life/ new person. IDIOTS!

Vent away, many of us are in a similar boat. And keep your distance. Communicate about the kids, nothing else. Give up on him ever being decent - doesn't seem to be his nature. Always put yourself and the kids first - you won't regret that.

Glad there is something going really good in your life. How did the museum thing go? I'm very interested.

Well, it's what we agreed to and signed off on. No judge involved.

wait a minute, the stimulus should'nt be treated same as the child credit, I talked to my L, and she said since this is a new thing it would be treated as just joint $$, so we are splitting it 50/50 (he gets 300 from s9 I get 300 from d5). He had the decency (at my request) to agreed to give me 150$ for a wii I want to buy for s9.

You guys not claiming kids should get something at least!!
