If she agrees to see your psych thats more than just a baby step!!! If she is an alcoholic he is the right guy to make the diagnosis. But from being diagnosed to the patient accepting the diagnosis is a major step and can take time and often a lot of suffering and heartbreak for all involved. She has to accept the diagnosis before she can begin to recover.

I pray that she will be open to his help, and not just go in order to be able to say "I tried everything" later...
