Water, Summary of legal sitch: H and OW were in a motorcycle accident last May. That's how I discovered the A (altho I was suspicious before it happened). They are both lucky to be alive.
OW had no health insurance and over $100k in medical bills. She could get some money from our vehicle insurance but the cause of the accident, and who was at fault, has YET to be determined. If H is found at fault, she won't get anything from our insurance. It's been nearly a year.
So that is one reason for her lawyer. And, she wanted one more surgery, purely cosmetic, and the docs won't do it cause she has no health insurance. If I were her, I'd probably do the same thing. But it was her choice to get on a bike without insurance.
