I just had a friend who had to have his leg amputated...he has a young family and no health insurance...there are endowments that help...a corporation sponsored his family...their rent is being paid while he recuperates, they provided the best doctors money could buy, and his family is actually doing better financially then they were when he was able and working!!!

Now...this doesn't mean you will get all of this but I do know if you end up dead you have nothing!...I had to hospitalize my son once when we had no insurance...medical stepped in and picked up the bills because we didn't have the money to pay...even though we owned two homes!

Pam...I do hope you get fixed up soon...eat iron rich food...combine them with vitamin C foods to help your body absorb the iron better!

Take care...Lin

Hi guys,

Thank you for all the suggestions and support. I will try to get back here later.

I have been pushing as much as possible to get stuff done at work and when I get home from work I just sort of crash on the sofa for the evening.

This morning I AM going in to have the blood drawn so don't want to be late. Then I should hear something sometime tomorrow from the dr. if it is high enough to do the surgery or not.

Thank you all so much for caring!!!!!!!!!!! \:\)

Hi Pam
Go feet the vampires and see what they tell you. That's what they called me when we hauled everybody to medical to do company blood draws.

Hey NH,

I gave blood to the nice lady!

She was very good and very fast. I hardly felt the needle at all.

Today my doctor will be back in her office from vacation so I should know if I am going in for surgery tomorrow or not. In a way I want to and get it over with and in a way I really don't want too!!!

Hope everyone has a great day. \:\)

FINALLY, news from the doctors office!!!

The Hemoglobin is up from the 6.5 to 7.7 and the Hematocrite is up from the 19.7 to 23.0.

She is pleased it has came up but still doesn't want to put me under at those numbers so still waiting.

Next Wed. I'm to go back to the hospital for more blood to be drawn and next Friday if it is up as expected she will do surgery.

Now, hopefully I keep feeling better. No one told me I have to sit still for another week. Hopefully I feel like moving around some because I am SICK of sitting still and feeling like crap!!!
