Did you claim head of household? I think that that would be the "loophole". I'm head of household and I have a student but I always pay quarterly so I don't have to pay a big bill come tax time.
yes, but it was something more then that, it was because of my income being low, with only working very part time last year plus only half the year, my dad had to sit for hours looking for something, as we couldnt figure out how I would have to pay so much when I make so little!
