I can understand your thinking re trying elsewhere, but it's the old is the grass greener thing again. It's not, ask single people you know who have been single and in the dating game for a long time, they will all envy you (or did when you were settled and married etc).
I'm sure my W is thinking this way as we've been together for 12 years from a young age and not experienced the 'adult' dating game. People make it sound so much fun and yes I imagine it is great for a while and when your having a great time, but the novelty will where off and you may have done to much damage along the way.
I have a very good friend and also other single friends who have played the game for a long time. Most of the time they go out out of habit and not wanting to spend a night in alone of a weekend, once they meet someone, they very quickly slow down the going out, or certainly the staying out late. They'd rather get home with their partner.
