This weekend was wild, Saturday was a beautiful day, I was outside teaching gun safety class and enjoying the weather most of the day our snow was almost all gone and things were starting to dry up but it started snowing Sunday morning and it came down in buckets. Now we have up to 18 inches of wet heavy snow everywhere! This isn’t that light fluffy snow that you can drive through either, This is that heavy wet industrial weight snow that packs instantly and turns into ice as soon as you disturb it. What a mess! Needless to say I didn’t go anywhere or do anything on Sunday. The good news is that they predict 40’s for the next couple of days and most of this should melt… The bad news is that they predict another blast on Wednesday… Uggggg!

No this should actually be good for the farmers, a heavy wet snow like this really soaks in as it melts and gives the hilltops a good drink. The fields are all bare right now and with no cover a heavy rain would just run off and it would all end up down at the bottom of the hills. So this way everything gets a drink and the fields will actually dry out faster since the low areas wont be flooded out. It's just going to be a sloppy mess for a week or so.
So Bethie, I assume you didn't get hit by the storm?
