I also wanted to clarify the reason my H was watching my D8 during the play last year was because they were both in the play: my d8 was playing a princess in King and I and he had a part also. I wasn't just expecting him to babysit or something while he was acting in a play!

D8 would usually play with the other princes & princesses (there were over a dozen kids about her age) so don't think H had too awful of a time and she is well behaved, but if it bothered him he should have said something was my point to H (since he is still upset over that he says), and I did try to go when I was not crying too much...
