If you have read my other post, then you're aware that I am 7 months into the D process.
Our youngest d is getting married in June and I have told her I would do my best to keep things as civil until after her wedding, (as I have done all along) and let my attorney know the same. In fact I told my attorney that if we can just do nothing until then it would be fine with me.
My wifes attorney has let us know that he is still going through the financial and job records they received 6 weeks ago and is not ready to depose me yet, but we could schedule one for my wife whenever. I have wanted to wait and do both of us at the same time with the idea I would go first, and depending on how adversarial they were, we would match it, but as mentioned, I see no need until after the upcoming wedding.
I received a bill from my attorney telling me my $7500 is gone and he needs more, and we have not even gotten started yet. Apparantly over $5000 was spent on just the documents I had to furnish my wifes attorney in her quest to prove I have been hiding $, which is absolutely false.
Because I cannot fund anything more right now to the a-ttorney retirement fund, and still take care of upcoming taxes and help with this wedding, I'll pose a few ? here, knowing I will need to verify with the attorney.
First-Should I expect my wife who started this whole nonsense to pay 50% of the wedding cost? Second-She has requested that I as the trustee of our (he/she) retirement funds be allowed to remove $2000. The natural nice side of me wants to help wherever I can, and the realistic side of me that I wish kicked in the day she left says-he11 no!!!!!!! I can only assume it will be used to continue to sue me for even more $.
Should I use this as an opportunity to negoiate with her to remove the po (she has said she would modify it so that we can plan and attend this wedding together) or should it just be-sorry I don't see that happening? Ideas??
