Hmmmmm - I don't know. Has she ever mentioned getting her ring stretched so that it's more comfortable?? I think this sounds to me more like a comfort thing,( physical that is), rather than an emotional one. The fact that she puts it on to go out and she cares what people think makes me feel that, because I would guess she doesn't want your S to think about why his mom takes her ring off. Which makes me feel that she would wear it at home as well if she could.

Does she know why you take yours off? Have you talked about that at all?
