Hope4us, I have the same fear with mine. He is coming to the realization that the OW isn't even nice to him, but now he puts it off to "hormones", because lucky me, they're going to have a baby. So my worst nightmare is coming true. Not only do I have a cheater for a H, my kids now will get a new sibling.

A constant reminder of one of the most hurtful and humiliating experiences of my whole life.

He wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit him on the butt at this point... So sad.

I know of at least 3 times where I saw text messages from OM apologizing to WW for treating her so bad (mostly when she was having a fun time with me. Imagine that, a wife having fun with her husband and the OM is mad).

He also lied to her about many things, not the least of which is that he was going to talk to his wife about divorce so he and WW could be together, but he never did. Of course, WW lied to him about many things also.

That's what I'll never understand. How can waywards lie and lie to each other and still think that they are made for each other? Excuse me, would you want to marry someone who had no problem lying to you and their spouse so they could carry on an affair? Hello? Kettle, this is pot calling.

Seriously! It makes me laugh. The OW in my sitch believes EVERYTHING that comes out of my H mouth like its gospel and he does the same with her. I have pointed out more than once, "OK, You are both liars or you wouldn't be in this situation." The saddest part is the lies they tell themselves to make the sitch ok.

Made for each other? What woman in her right mind would want a man that cheats on his wife, neglects his kids, now lives with his mom and is a compulsive gambler? OOOOOOOOOHHH what a catch, I'll bet all the eligible ladies out there are just lining up for their chance at that! The saddest part is, part of me does still want him, but its pretty ugly right out there in the open.
What man wants a woman that cheats with married men, neglects the child she already has, is pregnant with a married man's child, and is also a compulsive gambler that lives with her parents?

The OW sent my H several txt messages on Easter trying to make him feel guilty for spending it with me and our kids...hello? She was going to the casino and he could just play "Happy Family" with me and his kids. WHATEVER!!!!
They are both prizes alright. Just a little bitter today...

They are all in DENIAL! They are rationalizing everything they do to themselves, the OP, their families, and their friends because THEY CANNOT FACE THE TRUTH because if they REALLY looked in the mirror they wouldn't be able to live with themselves. Denial is a psychological defense mechanism to keep them from doing something like commit suicide. It is only temporary though...as both of your SOs are possibly beginning to realize.

Amen Michelle. It's a defense mechanism because if they didn't do it they would have to admit to themselves that THEY are a bad person, and who wants to admit to that. Add the fact that there is NOTHING worse in the world you could do to someone you vowed to love, honor and cherish, forsaking all others and of course the denial is going to come out.

It still sucks for us, even if we understand it.
