I am hoping for the best with your mom and your H's father.

It sounds like you H is really trying. You are going to pull through this all.

Hello All,

I really don't have much to report. H came over last night.. he brought Easter dinner leftovers and Easter gifts for D2. It was a nice visit.. but all of the visits these days seem nice/pleasant. H hung around for about an hour after D2 went to bed... he has said in the past that he thinks it's easier on D2 when he doesn't leave right away because she often calls out to him before falling asleep.. this is true.. but it doesn't take her an hour to fall asleep.

I guess the only interesting thing about last night's visit was our conversation at the door.. he once again expressed how he's been enjoying his visits more and more... he's really felt that things have been improving steadily over the last few weeks.. he thanked me again for being so great.. and said that I've been wonderful about not putting any pressure on him. I told him that I just want him to be happy.. he said he wanted the same for me.. but that he knows what I'd like to have happen and would therefore make me happy.. Hug and quick kiss at the door.. no ILY's.. can't recall actually the last time that was said. Hmmm.

Now, here we are today. I woke up to a very cold house.. something was wrong with my furnace.. I ran down to the basement and I could hear it running but there was cool air coming thru the vents. So then I checked the thermastat to see what the temp was.. It was set for 70 degrees but the house was reading under 60 degrees.. Needless to say D2 was a little grumpy this morning when trying to change her into her clothes for daycare. I eventually thought more about it and realized that the alarm clock in my room was flashing when I got home from work yesterday so maybe there was something in the braker (sp?) panel for me to try.. so I ran back down to the basement.. found the switch for the furnace, shut it off and then turned it back on and voila.. there was heat. Thank goodness!!!! I felt like a genius.. I figured it out all on my own.. Can I hear a little "woo hoo"!!!!

Anyway, contact with H was limited today. He called me briefly at work before his ortho appt. He's getting hooks put on his braces to prepare for when they wire his jaw shut after his surgery (coming up quickly).. So I sent him a quick text asking him if his mouth looked like Edward's Scissor Hands.. He replied with a laugh.. and said it didn't look as bad as he anticipated. He said he also entered me into a draw for a free sonicare toothbrush and movie passes from our ortho's office. I thought that was nice.

That's it from me. Funny how I didn't really think I had anything of importance to journal about and yet I went on and on and on... I AM a chatty cathy!

I'll give you a "woo hoo". Nice work and you didn't even have to call your H. I'm impressed.
