I was just about to post when I saw you checking in on me. You're the best!!!
So quick update. Easter was nice although D2 and I didn't get to have an Easter meal. We went to my sisters and spent Saturday afternoon and night.. We stayed for lunch and a little socializing on Sunday (D2 was able to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt) and then left my sister's for our 2 hour ride home at about 3pm. They weren't going to eat until 4 or 5 pm.. and I didn't want to be stuck driving in the dark to get home. Rec'd an email from H saying "happy easter!!!!!". Really didn't understand all the exclaimation marks but oh well. My response was "thanks u 2." He then sent another asking how my easter was going and then another stating he's on his way to his aunt's place for easter dinner. My response was "have a good time". I didn't even acknowledge the question about how my easter was. He then tried calling my cell phone.. which I didn't answer.. and I he left a voicemail on the home phone too (saying to call him on his cell if I wanted to). I didn't want to. He seemed anxious to speak. He called the house at D2's bed time.. just past her bed time actually but I hadn't put her to bed yet so they had a chance for a quick chat. He was just about to get gasoline so I said "I'll let you go, I've got to put D2 to bed anyway".. and he said "oh okay, I'll get gas and then call back in a few minutes so that you have the chance to get her to bed."
When he called back he mentioned that his sister and her kids didn't come to his Aunt's for Easter and that his Dad was in the hospital for some tests since he fainted so he and H's Mom weren't there either. He said he missed us. My response was that I was sorry to hear about his Dad and to please keep me posted on how he's doing.
H is coming over tonight. He's bringing leftovers from his Aunt's Easter dinner and an Easter gift from his Aunt (D2's godmother) for D2.
As for how I did this Easter. Overall I think I did good. I had one moment of "near" tears.. when my niece gave me an extra thank you kiss and thank you hug to pass on to H since he wasn't able to be there in person. Now if only I could stop checking my cell phone all the time to see if I missed any texts or calls.. that would be nice!
