troubled, thanks for stopping by. I will look into the idea of codependency, I seem to perhaps have some of those traits!

Lol. One would hope they'd have same-day appointments for emergencies.

I am glad you are not in need of that however. \:\)

I was missing you, too!

I looked a bit a the codependency thing, I see some signs, but for now I don't think it quite fits. Though I think I will read some more about it!

By the way, you missed Kalni? Can you hear my heart breaking? And after all those promises yesterday Jeff! ;\)

You visited earlier! Kalni was working, or had some other lame excuse!

I hope your weather warms up! That right cold for your part of the world!

Hey Jeff!

So...are you one to go to an acupuncturist or is that a bit non-scientific for you!? Anyway.. you have been in a "stagnant" situation with your W for some years. Stagnation is very bad for the body. From what I know of these things, thats linked to bile and blocked bile effects the liver....and the liver is therefore the organ of depression. You did say that you may be a bit depressed and were thinking of phoning that EAP line (did you?). But also, have you mentioned this to your Doctor? (just for a diagnosis, not in relation to your liver problem. Being a Doctor, he would split his sides laughing no doubt if you said there could be a link and that could be the physical manifestation of it).

Acupuncture is a good way to tackle depression, or whatever you want to label it, if you dont want to go down the C route. I think it could be just as effective! They would treat the blocked chi in your liver. Heres a few links to some info on stagnation of the liver as manifestation of depression, of mental stagnation (interesting - repressed emotions cause stagnation in the organs and fatigue and "disease"):

Worth investigating! Doctors have a slice em and dice em mentality. Its sometimes necessary, but sometimes physical problems are manifestations of mental ones. I was sceptical of acupuncture, until one cured my 3 year back problem in one session of pinning my back (and I had been seeing a Chiropracter for weeks at £30 a session and he hadnt!).

PS: This is interesting..my BF has a kidney problem for the past 2 years that is painful. He had it investigated at the hospital, x rays, a scan, a barium meal thingy - but nothing. Depression affects the kidneys too...

That is prety interesting. Usually, I would sort of read it, and then kind of laugh. But there was a fair amount that seems consistent, anyway. I will keep it in mind! I need to follow up on the medical side, to make sure that there isn't something REALLY bad going on, as some of the possible, though I think less likely, conditions could be really imminently serious.

Thanks for taking the time to look that info up! I appreciate it!
