SIL is visiting from college and bringing her BF.

I had sent MIL an e-mail saying hi a week or so ago and she asked what I was doing for Easter and invited me to dinner Saturday with SIL and BF. Except now SIL may not arrive until later on Sat I guess. So that may change.

Yeah, hopefully H got some of the reassurance he was looking for. We'll see how everything goes down this weekend.

Got an IM from H last night saying please sign for him and send taxes lol.

Sent him a GL text just now.

MIL e-mailed saying Saturday will work. I will also get to see H's aunt and two cousins.

I think it is great that you are spending time with his family. That will definitely make him think about things too.

Hi Michelle
Talked to a Master Chief yesterday who was a Russian linguist. He spent a year at Monteray and it 6hrs a day for a year. Languages are rated in difficulity where Russian was 3 and Japanese and Arabic are 4 (highest). I think Grunt is a 1, Cajan is a 2, Southern is a 2.5 and that text language kids use is a 2.7.

Have a good weekend.

Thanks No_hill! That definitely rates a LOL.

Everyone - thanks for good vibes and well wishes!

Journaling:

No news from H, no surprise there.

I've had a good couple of days. Went for a 2 mile run yesterday, could barely walk this morning lol. It's my first real run back after spraining my ankle, so it pretty much bit. The next one will be better.

Spent a lot of the evening at the range with a guy who used to be in my unit. He has a lot of fun toys. If anyone is interested I got to shoot these!

Ah, an intelligent woman who loves firearms! (Sorry, I'm having a moment!) I have had my 9mm with me since May! 24/7. VP Cheney visited us yesterday. This is a hoot. They wouldn't let you in unless you HAD a firearm! When you fly in the states, you can't get on a plane with a nail clipper. Here, you don't board a plane unless you have a 9mm and an M4! Through the Looking Glass! Up is down!

Michelle,

are you in the service or something? you mentioned unit, so I wasn't sure what you meant by that.

Glad to hear you took a run, I always admire people who do that. I have never been a runner.
