Hey Jeff..I seem to have started something, but I'm glad, becuase you need some help here! I think you were brave to at least put the number in your cell phone.. I know, I know, your a bloke and of a certain age at that, you'd rather stick boiling pins in your eyes than go for C.. but needs must, when the devil vomits in your kettle, as they say in England (well, I say). So, you just need to phone them now, and I guess it will be a free service, so even better! You need to break the cycle you are trapped in, and that is how I see it. Ever decreasing circles...

Sounds like yur R has been slowly withering for many years then...like alot of us here, I guess what your describing is a communication breakdown. You are trapped in patterns of relating to each other. Thats why I suggested showing a different emotion to her than indifference.. cry or shout back or laugh in her face! Or something!? But, maybe just phone the EAP for now and be brave. We'd all be proud of you !!
