I fall into the be honest and upfront from the beginning..... you have no conscious crisis to worry about then...

having said that, there is the fact that the level of trust in people in general will dictate just how forthcoming we are with our sensitive personal material.

Depending on the conversation and the person there is nothing at all wrong with saying that you have resevations about dicussing intimate( not sexual, for the pervs that went there ) subjects.... and that you prefer to establish a comfort level before entering into details. If that causes others to pull away.... then you've saved yourself any undue discomfort.
