Well, locked that one fast. That's what I get for posting long IM convos I guess lol.

Last thread

Listening to Keith Urban while I work on my paper. Love this song:

so you're leaving
in the morning
on the early train
i could say everything's alright
and i could pretend and say goodbye

you got your ticket
you got your suitcase
you got your leaving smile
i could say thats the way it goes
i could pretend and you won't know
that i was lying

cuz i can't stop loving you
i can't stop loving you
no i can't stop loving you
though i tried

we took a taxi
to the station
not a word was said
i saw you walk across the road
for maybe the last time i dont know

i'm feeling humble
i heard a rumble
on the railway tracks
and when i hear that whistle blow
i walked away and you won't know
that i was crying

cuz i can't stop loving you
no i can't stop loving you
i just can't stop loving
though i tried

i just can't stop loving you
no i can't stop loving you
i just can't stop loving you
why do i try
why do i try

Oh, and Sara, thanks for the warning about Juno. Since I was forewarned, it didn't hit me too hard. Overall, good movie. My roommate walked out saying that I am the cheese to her macaroni! LMAO. There were some great one-liners in there. We think we're gonna buy it first thing when it comes out on DVD.

Yeah, I really did like it! But I do think that people here need to be warned about the WAS. That part was a little difficult for me. I want a hamburger phone now!

Hahaha! OMG, that's exactly what my roommate said!

I got up this morning and found a note on my door that said "You are the cheese to my macaroni! Love, [roommate]" Lol. We are such goofballs.

So, H just called wanting to know when I wanted to do taxes. I said tomorrow after work if that worked for him. He said fine since he was at his parents' house today.

Then 5 min later he called back, wanting to know if I had to rush home after taxes or if I wanted to go for a drink. I said I hadn't made any plans.

He did not sound terribly happy either time I talked to him. I think he is still a bit mad over our IM conversation...or he's just having a bad day. Who knows.

Well, most of the stuff for the party is done. Just have to finish vacuuming and then grab a shower. The apt smells so good between the bread and the corned beef and cabbage.

Wow, he asked you if you want to go for a drink???? Well thats progress surely? And he didnt sound too happy...hmm, wonder why? So hes at his parents place...is that where OW is coming to visit soon, I think you said? I'm so amazed at yuor willpower, answering..I havent got any plans. I'd have jumped at the chance of a drink and said yes straight off!

Have a great party,

Yeah, not sure what to think of it. Thought about saying no just because. Worried he's gonna bring up D stuff again. I think I'm going to tell him I refuse to argue with him unless make-up sex is involved.

Michelle, you are funny! Make-up sex or no talking. I would have jumped at a chance for the drink as well. But my H and I had Chinese together tonight and it was a really nice time. No R talk...just nice light-hearted chats. Almost like old times...I liked that.

Maybe you shouldn't go for the drink...maybe it will surprise him.

Well, I also wasn't sure about going for the drink. Not sure what prompted him to make the offer, but got a bit of a weird vibe off it - like he wants to say something to me he thinks I don't want to hear. However, I've already pushed back doing the taxes by nearly a week because I've been busy, so I don't feel the need to say no on GAL principles. I think the fact that I'm even still speaking to him surprises him - he's pretty good at holding grudges so every time he says something to me that is supposed to upset me he seems to expect me to quit speaking to him. Besides, the last time I saw him I was getting over the flu so I feel the need to look good this time around lol.

Party last night went good. Couple people canceled at the last minute, but still had a fun group.

Well, I don't quite know how to describe the last 7 hours. The taxes are mostly done.

Then went to dinner. Split a pitcher of cider and just chatted for a while. Walked back to his place, then he wanted to watch a movie. Watched the movie on his bed using his laptop (the TV was taken between the other 4 guys) then I say well I'd better get going and he says he wants to talk. I say I really don't want to because I haven't much enjoyed our talks the last 8 months, he says yeah, he can understand that. He says my letter really got him thinking - it totally screwed with his stereotype of me and has made him question a lot of things. Then he commented how complicated everything is because he has always been dumped, he has never broken up with anyone (I guess he's not counting me lol). And that OW will arrive at the end of this week and he's confused and doesn't know what to do and is dreading it. Then he asked what I expected and what I wanted. I said I expected he would file for D, but if that happened what I wanted didn't matter at all. HUGE R discussion, but not an argument, no yelling, nobody got defensive, I only welled up a couple times with tears. Then I went to leave and he kissed me goodnight! Except it wasn't so much saying "goodnight" as "don't leave" lol.

I have no idea what any of this means as he hasn't actually broken things off with OW and I have no idea where things will be in a week, but it's certainly a huge leap in the right direction!
