Your right ACJ !! When they officialy diagnosed his diabetes his journey into the unknown truly began.
He called me from the Drs office and told me it was official. We had known this was coming, so I was trying to not make a big deal of it, I said to him it's ok hon, we knew it was happening but now it's time to change up the diet and start exercising!
Of course he brought that up to me after he left. I was not sympathetic enough I was sympathetic.......but I wasn't coddling. I would cook heathy foods and try to get him to exercise. His mother continued to feed him unhealthy food and HE continued to stop at McDonalds.
Now he feels things aren't worth it as his path of early death is imminent anyways. Yes, he made the connection but he's taking the poor me way out.
I'll just wait and see what he wants.......but to be truthful, I don't think I will be able to help him if he has this attitude. I am not a quitter nor do I have a quitters mentality.
Again, we shall see.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! THe skies are blue and its reaching 85 today. I hear waves and sand whispering my name
Hugs
Jeanette
