Good night all! Forgot one nugget from this afternoon--

Talked w/MIL today re. party for niece (SIL's D turns 1). In convo. MIL mentioned that after kids called to wish H good night last night, he got off the phone and the tears started flowing. He came in the room and told MIL "I really messed things up, didn't I? I love Bobbi Jo, I just don't know how to live with her...."

Of course MIL's filter what they hear too. So don't now how accurate that was. But at least he is realizing the consequences of his actions. Weeks/months without the kids around will shake him up to better himself with or without me...

Oh well. I need to get some sleep. Put S in my bed to get it warm. Joked to H earlier that when I go to bed I will move S over and sleep in his "warm spot"--H said I am too evil \:\) I said little boy body heat should be bottled and sold--my S is a naturally-occurring furnace! Never known a head to sweat like his when he sleeps.....

Heading off to teach my little angels!!

Will call my hometown school at 8 and find out what the deal is with my "maybe" new job. Hopefully I will have good news this afternoon.........

BOTH kids were in my bed last night! It must have been too cold for D b/c she started bawling at 1 a.m. So I put her between me and S and she slept like a rock the rest of the night, they both did actually, as they slowly rolled me half out of the bed

Wish me luck on the job!

Just quick snippet I GOT THE JOB!! But they want me April 1 and I agreed to teach down here till the end of May in case I didn't get the job so I have to figure out how to burn that bridge....Besides I realized I have to go see Orthopedic dr. next Thursday to find out about my ankle/foot. If I need surgery or therapy it will have to be down here to be paid for so I may NOT get to start the job until fall. A lot to figure out there, plus my living arrangement.

Called and told H I got the job today. Mentioned dreading living w/my parents. H said if you have a full-time job too then maybe we could afford to get an apartment (on top of our mortgage he meant). I said can't get an apartment w/you the way things are now...he said then maybe we can get you and apartment. I said oh b/c you aren't planning to change?? He acted all flustered and said that isn't what he meant, that I just said I didn't want us to get an apartment so he offered to get me one....I said obviously I would prefer things changed instead! Anyway then he backpedaled and went on and on about how excited he was for me and what a great opportunity it would be.....

Had to leave early though. Guess what, kid sick again! S sat on his cot to get ready for nap and started screaming (teacher's word, screaming) b/c his ear hurt. So I am going to go get him and take him to the dr. Only my third day in this classroom and already I am leaving early to deal w/sick kids.........

Oh well. Hopefully it is a virus and not an ear infection or he will be on his third set of tubes.....

Congratulations on the new JOB!

Maybe you should not have talked about him changing during the convo about your good news. He already knows what you want - let him prove it over time.

I hope your boy does not need more tubes - my boy had it done once and it was no fun. He had his adenoids removed which may account for no more ear infections since then.

Congrats on the new job! At this point I think you are wise not to make plans to move in w/ H. Hope your son is feeling better and remains tube free.

BBJ,

Congrats on the new job.

If you want maybe I can offer an perspective on what your H is saying about the OW and still contacting her.

Perhaps he clearly knows it's wrong. He is full of guilt about it and doesn't want to see her. However, she fills some sort of need in him. She makes him feel good. Tells him how wonderful he is. How manly or whatever. It's like a drug.

How do I know, because this G27 I've met is doing the same thing to me. I know it's wrong, but it feels good to have someone treat you that way with no strings.

Maybe just a little perspective

I am happy for you about the job.

Great news BBJ,

Congrats!!
It seems our kids are getting sick all the time lately... I hope it's nothing serious...

Let him do the walk (is this how you say it?)... If you tell him you are doing one thing (about living arrangements) do not change your decision. Make up your mind first. He needs to realise you mean business...

I think it really can be called a drug because it is a naturally produced hormone in the brain called "Dopamine" that contributes to the passion.

Thanks guys for the good words! I am so excited about the new job. Just don't know when I can start it, have to wait to hear from orthopedic dr. next week.....

S does have an ear infection. Actually Dr. said both ears were full of fluid, not a "true" infection, but b/c he was complaining of pain and it is his third ear issue in 3 months, she is treating it as an infection, says letting it progress a few more days would result in an infection....so put a call into ENT (ear nose throat) Dr. Most likely S will get new tubes and adenoids or tonsils (or both) removed... He is chipper though and says ears feel better?

We went to IHOP after the dr. Kids loved their pancakes and laughed a lot. In the car on the way to church we took turns yelling "I love you!" to each other--my S started it, what a sweetheart! D kept saying "Luh you TOO!" that is her favorite phrase. So the three of us had a pretty great night.

H called after kids were in bed. Helped walk me through lighting the pilot light on the furnace so we have HEAT again! Yay! It was a nice, lighthearted conversation. At one point I joked, "I carried out the garbage cans, I carried in the wood, I loaded it in the furnace, and now I MADE FIRE! I am such a cave woman!" Don't know why that seemed funny but we both laughed and H got a kick out of it.
He was excited he is getting our taxes ready and has $15K in deductions for his/our cattle business....So both of us were pretty upbeat tonight. That was nice too. Decided I will be upbeat when talking to him about the kids and life in general, but will still not bend when it comes to our R or M. Won't move in with him unless there are concrete actions taken, won't be affectionate or any of that either unless/until I feel his changes are real--if he makes them. So far he says he ended it w/OW (again! ) Friday. Sunday before he left he volunteered that she hadn't contacted him all weekend (?), nor he her. I have NOT asked if he has contacted her this week, I am not bringing up our R anymore. It is his job now if he wants it.

I will be far too busy eating pancakes with my kids to worry about it ....oh yeah and remembering what it feels like to have a warm house since we are getting snow again Saturday. Hope it makes you happy Lizzy, we are 70 today and snow Saturday....
