Hey Guys! Remember me? Been a while. \:\) Sorry for falling off the face of the planet. Just trying to focus on the real world I guess.

So I have taken a job. Not exactly what I was expecting...but I figure it's worth a shot. A buddy of mine from HS started a franchise boat club. He's opened 3 in 3 years. Seems to be doing well and he hired me as his Director of Sales. So totally different than anything i've done before...but I'm getting a chance to sell something I love - boating...and I've always said I've wanted to do that. So...here I go.

It's a base plus commission...so I hope I can make it work. In the meantime...I'll keep looking just to be safe. But gonna give it my all. \:\) If nothing else...I'll be on the water a lot this summer. Oh yeah...and for all of those playing at home...yes my office has a beer fridge. I do lose the lazy boy..but I gain a several boats! ;\)

Had my son's birthday the other day...youngest - he turned 6. Had a great time. STBX and I are gettig along well enough.

Ok...and now for the big drama that happened in my life. About two and a half weeks ago I went out with P for some pizza and drinks. She had been down - stressed about finding a job, etc. So we went out and then ended up meeting up with a friend of her's. Well these two are like oil and water...and because P wasn't in a good mood..and because her friend seems to need to take ownership of that...it quickly went downhill.

Well P stormed out of the bar. Unfortunately she slammed the door open on her way out and there was one big dude standing behind it. As I walked out 10 seconds later I found her storming back towards the guy and getting in his face. We're talking about 6' 4" and probably 280lbs. I had NO idea what was up but apparently he called her the C word. Ugh.

Well I'm not sure if she went to slap him or stick her finger in his face but as soon as she did....he decked her. Punched her right in the jaw. I was shocked. Never seen a girl get hit before.

I started calling him every name in the book. Well he didn't like that too much and he stepped up and knocked me in the chin. Kept coming at me and got me again in my left ear...and I went down.

Bouncers did nothing. He went back in the bar. Pauline calls the cops. He comes back out and jumps in his buddy's truck. I get the plate and we relay it to the cops on the phone.

Cops show up and take our story. I drive P home and then head home myself. My chin is bleeding everywhere and I can't hear out of my left ear. Well after I get home I realize I need stiches...so off to the hospital at midnight. Two stiches inside the cut to put the muscle back together and three on the outside. AND my ear drum is ruptured. FUN!

They did track the guy down. His wife came to the door and according to the cop she was a bit shocked to not only hear he was at a bar the night before but that he punched out a girl. Ooops. Anyway...long story short...P doesn't want to press charges. And if I do...he says he'll press them on her. The cop says the whole thing will probably just get thrown out anyway.

I seem to be healing up ok...so I think I'm gonna just drop it.

So i've run it through my head a 100 times. Part of me thinks that I have three kids at home and I should have kept my mouth shut. But part of me feels like if that was my D on the ground I would hope that someone would step up and give the guy at least an ear full.

In the end...I was put in a bad situation and I responded the way I did. Oh well.

So I hope everyone is good! Miss you all. \:\)
