Ouch! That sounds painful! I destroyed a knee many years ago, I still cringe when I hear about injuries like that!
I think the comedy show would be ok. It's a pretty non-threatening type of "date". I know it is too early to really believe OW is out of the picture, but maybe something like this would help encourage him to keep working in that direction.
