What really will affect the Venezuelan people is that Chavez has decided to close the border with Colombia. Colombia and Venezuela trade extensively and as of yesterday there were some 300 Colombian transport trucks, with food mostly, waiting to cross into Venezuela but weren't allowed. Right now, and for the past few months, we are suffering from food shortages. While Chavez fights for the FARC Venezuelans will go hungry.
