Jeff!!

I am so happy I said something possibly useful!

Quote:
the whole tone of the conversation was a bit different.

Pay attention to ANYTHING different. That is the whole point of DB'ing, right? ANY tiny little eensy weensy change... could produce a "solutions avalanche". think of that one little rock, rolling down from the top of the soon to be crumbling cliff! youknowwhatim'sayin?? maybe the baby has scooted!

also, maybe when we have been with someone for so long, it is easier not to pick up on DIFFERENT behavior b/c our brain is used to seeing it, even if long long ago. but that sounds big to me!

I am totally addicted to this place too. You're the first person I've admitted this to! I know I have a PROBLEM because I think every day "I need to scale back on this"!

I sent you another email about the muffins... I think if they didn't work out so hot it may have been because of doubling the recipe?

I hope your son really enjoyed his party! I am thinking of him!

What was your compliment of the day to W?

I'm not going to read much into anything right now, but I also won't read anything out of it! I have gotten really good at the No Expectations thing. Maybe too good, but it is the only way I keep going right now.

Thanks for your kinds words, and good wishes. I appreciate every single post you make to me.

I hope you realize how much I appreciate your support. Maybe there are tiny movements, I'm too close too see it, I think! In any case, this is going to take a long time. So I hope you are ready to stick around a while!

I liked that pic! The kids rented Underdog yesterday. Completely corny, and stupid, and fun! Uh, oh, here comes the cat! (Seriously, she knows!) She crawled up on my chest, I petted her a bit, she purred, and moved on!

OK, let's see, I can hardly remember yesterday. But I'm sure it happened. Did a little laundry, went to the store to get muffin ingredients. Then the evening! I think S19, S18, and two friends got home just before I started the muffins. I had watched Underdog with S10 and S13 (and W, though he may have slept). Anyway, S19 came in, and rolled up his sleeve, and, lo and behold, there was a tattoo of barbed wire on his arm, meant to look like it ran through his arm. I called him an idiot (smiling) and he said, "have you seen S18's?". My jaw dropped. He had gotten a bicycle chain ring between his shoulder blades. One of their friends had gotten an eagle/skull (I think) on his arm. His mom saw it tonight, I thought she was going into shock!) Anyway, I think S19 had accidentally warned W, so she was less surprised than I was.

This morning, S18 came out with no shirt (I think to lessen the itch), after he walked past W she gasped, and said, "It moved!" S18 kind of jumped, and she laughed! It was better in person, trust me! Anyway, I immediately said "Good one!" and she said "Thank you!". So, that was my compliment of the day.

I had to go get last minute stuff for the gathering, veggie trays and bread, W and younger two boys did some weeding. The event went off quite well, the lasgna that I made last week was very good! And we followed up with a baked Alaska. So, I feel quite plump, at the moment!

S19 doesn't leave til Tuesday, W is letting little guys stay home from school tomorrow to get some time with him, since he hasn't been here much. I told her I agreed 100%.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

More hugs for all of you, even the ones that don't post! I can feel the support.

Hey Jeff.. I never post to you, as I feel like I would be teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, as they say in rainy ole England! (hail storm today, makes a change). But...I think humour is great...can you make your W laugh more? Women always find that attractive..look at Britt Eckland and Peter Sellers, and Rowan Atkinsons W is gorgeous and then theres Woody Allen (yuk) and all his beautiful woman over the years. Anyway. Its certainly seductive. Well done on the daily compliment...can you up it to two a day !!??

I put my email address in my profile now as you said you wanted it. Thanks for your help, made me laugh...Mates hug indeed :-)

Thanks for coming by! I appreciate it, it's not always really serious here! We talk a lot about eating, and stuff like that! So you are welcome any time!

The tattoos were a bit of a surprise, especially S18's. I wans't surprised about S19, he's mentioned it before, and being a Marine and all. S18 said he couldn't let S19 get one if he didn't!

I appreciate your positive thoughts!

Oh, WCW....
What if we pushed the non-virtual gathering into the first week or two of November? Would that be more possible?

Surprise tattoos from teens. Been there! Last May I was solor visiting my sister in Chicago and my other sister was there too. We and their hubbies and sons (16,17,18&19) were all watching Borat and having a ball. During a particularly funny moment, my 19-year old nephew stands up and says, "I may, or may not, have gotten a jail-house tattoo in my dorm room." The he proceeds to take his shirt off and shows us the LARGE cross between his shoulder blades. Classic! Perfect timing, too, because we were all giggly to begin with and it kept my sister from hitting the roof.

Next week he and his parents come to visit before he ships off to Air Force basic. Wonder if he's going to display another?

Enjoy your time with your family. ((((dry_heat))))
