Friday night was great.

We went to the wedding reception, only knew a couple of people to say hello to.

We chatted, ight and safe subject, mainly about work and the kids, h seemed happy to talk, we had lots of eye contact, shared a couple of jokes, and had some food. Before we seperated it was effort for h to be in the same room as me, now we spend more time together than in a long time and we chat more easily.

S1 has a girl that we call his 'special' friend, he goes all silly if we say girlfriend. She came for tea. It is her birthday today so we had shopped last week for her present, he was so pleased to have her here. He put candles on the table in preparation and they had decided together what they wanted to eat: spaggetti Bolagnase and chocolate fudge cake with cream, so they were easily pleased. He was really happy.
