OK, I went back and read the rules. The short summary, don't post things that might cause offense, violate copyright, advertise, or have personal contact info. Oh, and the one that says the mods can do whatever they want. (I don't really have a problem with that, it's true on every internet board, and it has to be that way). So, where did RCR go wrong? If she caused offense, we are all in trouble. She might say something you didn't want to hear, but she was as kind as kind and thoughtful as a person could be. I don't think I ever saw her post Copyrighted material, or advertise, or post personal info. So, there must be another set of unwritten rules that she violated. In my mind, most, if not all of the posters who've been censored or banned, would have happily (or at least willingly) adapted what they were posting if someone had given a clue that there was a problem, and posted it so everyone could read it! Instead, posts, and entire threads, just vanished! If you asked why, the "rules" were posted, but no indication of what had been violated. So, from what I've been able to figure out, the mod disagreed with the posted, and took the action that the rules absolutely do allow. And the action that killed the SSM forum, and have driven several very valuable posters away from this forum. It is hard for me to imagine that that was the intention, but it was a pretty predictable result. I've stayed out of this for the most part, even played peacekeeper one day, since I'd prefer not to be banned myself. In my opinion, the way to get through this is with some real communication, rather than "because we can"!

I tried really hard not to violate any of the rules here, but I guess what happens, happens.
