I'm actually more concerned that my D15 will say nothing. This is a kid that can keep it all inside.
I have thought (alot) about what i'll be saying to them about this. As far as the "talk" he already knows he's to be the one talking and answering most of the questions. When some are directed at me, I'll take them on if I can. Otherwise I will say "Dad needs to answer that one" or 'We'll have to talk about that and get back to you.
I need to talk finances with him too. Oh, goodie! I need a drink....
Maybe just a straightjacket.....can I get one in a burgandy or pink? I'm not partial to pink. but I look really good in it. If I've goota go nuts, I at least want to look good.....
Sigh. Trying to deal with the before hand of talking with D's tomorrow (translation...myself). It's going to be a weekend to remember, one way or the other.
Hanging with my sons. One is 15; the other is 4 weeks shy of 13. Looks like snow tomorrow night so we will eat ravioli and find a good movie. We'll take the rest of the weekend as it comes.
Your boys are the ages (about) of our D's. They're at great ages. D's are the kind of kids i would have been friends with as a kid. I'm soooo fortunate.
I enjoy the fellows. Though I am not sure that I would have wanted them hanging with me at that age. I smoked cigarettes. They know better. Of course, they might have been a good influence on me!!!
Mine would definately have been a good influence on me. I was doing way to much I shouldn't have been by the time I was 15. Of course the upside to that is that I can see things from a different angle.
