I do believe there is a difference between people's stories and MLC resources. I think the stories are legitimate. But I think when an amateur puts themselves as as an expert, then there is a problem. Having said that I do think stories and they are all over the place.
Now you speak of those who have been in the trenches. I actually sought both professionals and those who had been in the trenches. I sought people who had gone through what I wen through and lived to tell the story. But I also sought professionals (Michele Weiner Davis falls into this category, are you suggesting she should be ignored?)who were trained and who had seen all sides of the picture.
