PH, sorry. Just saw your posting. I have been in class for the past two days

I haven't asked her. It is so hard to know what I can talk to her about without it being launched into something she would consider me controlling.

I think I know why though. I was just looking at the IRS site regarding filing status' and I had filed Head of Household since I qualify. She will have to file Married Filing Separately (her choice). Since she did, she cannot claim her student loan interest which, I believe, is her only deduction. Of course, I think she would be better off taking the standard deduction anyway since she lives in an apartment.

On another note, tomorrow night is a scout event for my youngest and I was going to make a cake, as requested for the event. My W called this evening and asked if I would like her to make the cake and I excitedly said that would be fantastic. She seemed very pleased with my exhuberant response. And yes, my response was genuine. I am pretty much exhausted with all of the kids activities.
