I had a hearing somewhat similiar to a trial. My xh couldn't remember my correct age, date of birth or the street we lived on. He couldn't even begin to tell them when he left and why. I had to have all of my documentation available for review, etc.

I don't know what a trial would entail in your state, but I would ask your lawyer the next time you speak with her. Each state is different.
