(5:55:12 PM) H: do you want to sit down and file them on my forms since they are already sort of submitted and I'll need to file a correction unless we file separatly

(5:56:59 PM) H: are you free tomorrow evening?

(5:57:06 PM) H: we could do this over the phone

(5:57:41 PM) Me: [roommate] and i have plans
(5:58:14 PM) Me: well, you submitted yours except the fed signature page right?
(5:58:21 PM) H: yes
(5:58:25 PM) Me: so we'll have to do the paper correction forms?
(5:58:49 PM) H: no, because its not submitted yet
(5:58:58 PM) H: I'll resend it electronically
(6:00:21 PM) H: I already need to change everything and so lets just correct mine, so its legit and no audits occur
(6:00:26 PM) Me: well, if you need the money, just send the signature page.
(6:01:10 PM) H: look, I'm not going to keep the money from you if we go through mine jointly. why is this a problem?
(6:01:29 PM) H: if I have the money I'm going to spend it, I just need to get it right
(6:01:44 PM) H: so then we get the right amount refunded
(6:03:00 PM) Me: okay
(6:03:12 PM) H: you can come over on saturday we can sort it out, get the thing sent out and have lunch or some such

(6:03:52 PM) H: well when are you free, I need options here
(6:03:52 PM) Me: until 3 i think
(6:04:57 PM) H: okay, when you get off work how do you want to handle this?
6:05:23 PM) Me: somehow i think trying to read you 4 W-2s over the phone would be very complicated
(6:06:16 PM) Me: so in person is probably better
(6:06:29 PM) H: alright

He's insisting on doing them, which is a total 180 for him. And I'm not entirely comfortable with because he's not terribly good with taxes, although turbo tax helps. Plus he doesn't know where I live, after the last time he freaked out on me, I have avoided giving him my address. Which he will now have off my W-2s. :-(
