They want it now
They don't consider affects of their actions on others
They don't understand why they can't have everything they want (now)
They are totally irresponsible
they only want to play
They seek thrills

Oh yeah. I can "check" all those boxes.

BT - alimony in my state is no longer the law of the land. There is the idea of spousal support, but it is intended to be temporary, to help the spouse get back to the workforce, earn her own income. Figure 2-3 years spousal support for someone like my wife with a degree and a head on her shoulders. Certainly not "the rest of her life."

But it does irk me, just a little, that she chucked it all, trashes our marriage, and then gets money with her walking papers. hmph.
