On your newest post - wow, that is so great about the sign your W bought! Not even so much that she got it but how excited she was about it.

That cardboard Knight idea is great!! That'll be a fun conversation starter. I'm not sure if your kids did this in school (more likely your S given their ages), but it reminds me of the "Flat Stanley" project a lot of schools do now. If you haven't heard of it - the kids make a little cardboard cutout person ("Stanley") and a journal that goes with him, then they send him out on travels with friends, family, etc. His various "hosts" write in the journal about where he's been and sometimes take pictures, find souvenirs, etc. The students plot where he's been on a map, and then go through his journal when he gets back. There's more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Stanley. I think you're about to have fun with the grownup version of Flat Stanley!

Wow, it sounds like your dinner went great too!! Sounds like a fun relaxed time - isn't it nice to enjoy those?? Bummer that you fell asleep but I don't think it was too bad, really. When you said you screwed up I thought it was going to be some big R talk. A nap?? Naahh, that's not blowing it!

I loooove Creme Brulee. So much that I learned to make it at home and even got the mini torch to caramelize the top. Funny actually, I've perfected my "technique" now and I actually make it better than most restaurants around here. We had to stop ordering it in restaurants because H would always ask me "What did they do wrong? This isn't as good as yours.." Hey maybe that's what I could bring over... ;\)

Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a great party.
