aaawww...it was really cute. She just hid a valentine note for me here at the house. On the front it said to daddy and had a bunch of xo's on it. Then inside it said "to daddy, happy valemtines (not a typo) day! I love you so so much. Love (D) PS have a GRAT valemtines day! with love written down each side and some hearts. Melted my heart. sigh

Now something to make everyone laugh:

What a crazy few days this has been.

Lets see. Wed night I grabbed some Thai food and went up to see H. She's moving into a new place and I offered to help her pack, etc. So we chatted for a bit...but she seemed a bit off and I didn't stay long. No biggie. She's been dating this new guy for just over a month...known him for about 6 months. Well I talked to her today. After I left she just felt like something was up...went to his house...but on the way she stopped and bought a pregnancy test. YUP....she's pregnant. OMG!

She's thrilled - freaking out - but thrilled. She's 35 now, financially independent, she says she loves this guy and he loves her....so I'm thrilled for her too. I hope this guy is the stand up guy that he so far seems to be...but I have enough confidence in H that she will be just fine even if he's not. She was pregnant once before while she was married and lost the baby at 4 months. So she's been ready for this for a while and I couldn't be happier for her.

Then Vday I had a great time exchanging gifts with the kids. They were SO excited with the stuff I got them and it was great to see their faces light up. Sigh. Then I got to watch a movie with someone very special and had a wonderful time doing so. \:\)

Just got some stuff done around the house today. STBX still has the kids but I grabbed S5 tonight and brought him to a Providence Bruins game. Just the two of us. IT WAS AWESOME. This kid is just so amazing. Hard to explain why...but it's the way he thinks and communicates...amazing. I wanted to bring him to a Dave and Buster's ahead of time for dinner and to play some games but we were running late. So I said - well do you still want to go? Because if we do, we'll miss some of the game. He responded with "Well you chose to take me out dad so you choose. Whatever you want to do is fine with me". God I love him. I could give 20 other stories like that from tonight. He's awesome. He's upstairs crashed in my bed right now and I can't wait to go up and snuggle with him. \:\)

We'll do breakfast in the AM and then tomorrow night P and I are gonna go out to dinner. She sold a house and wants to celebrate by taking me to dinner...aaawww. \:\) May try and meet up with my buddy for drinks after too.

So all is good. Oh yeah...talked to a recruiter the other day about an intersting job...we'll see.

I love life. I love the people I have surrounded myself with. I love my kids. Hell...I love me. I feel so solid, appreciated, confident, calm, relaxed, in control of myself and I feel like I'm truly enjoying life for the first time probably a decade...and maybe more than I ever have before.

God bless you all and I hope you are all finding yourselves in a similar place. Peace.

You sound great too Scott. Our kids are our anchors in life. Helps you to see what is really important in life.

Have fun on your dinner date. I have one myself tonight with a Woman I met at one of my Sister's wine tasting parties. I'm not a big wine drinker, but my Sister has been hounding me to attend one for the last year. Wow, if I only knew what I was going to encounter there, I would have adopted Wine as my drink of choice long ago.
